September is the month when most students return to school. It is also a great time of year to get organized and prepared for college applications, timelines and research. Williams Educational Consultants offers support, guidance and organization to a process that can seem messy. Below you will find some important reminders for the Class of 2022-2025.
Class of 2022:
1. Finalize College List
2. Connect with your Guidance Counselor (AKA Wendy Williams)
3. Request Recommendation Letters, if required.
4. Complete Common Application Essay
5. Fill out the Common App, including school specific questions.
6. Create Resume
7. Apply Early if you have the academic requirements necessary and complete the application in time!
8. Register for SAT/ACT one last time, if needed:
ACT:
October 23rd Test Date - Register September17th.
December 11th Test Date - Register November 5th
SAT:
October 2nd Test Date - Register for September 3rd
November 6th Test Date - Register for October 8th
Class of 2023:
1. Start Your College Search
2. Connect with your Guidance Counselor (AKA Wendy Williams)
3. Schedule college visits either in-person or virtual
4. Try your best academically, grades are very important!
5. Talk to your parents about financial commitments and expectations regarding college.

Research the participants
Examine the colleges of interest before the event by visiting their website and learning about academics and student life.
Prepare questions for the admissions officers that can help you answer, "Why are you interested in XYZ university?"
Follow-Up with the Admissions Officers
