As we celebrate Independence Day, it’s a perfect time to reflect on one of the most empowering aspects of the admissions and career process: choice.
Today’s students—and even adults considering career changes—face more options than ever before:
Different colleges and majors
Gap years and alternative education paths
Test-optional admissions policies
Career pivots and post-grad opportunities
Multiple ways to tell their story in essays and interviews
At Williams Educational, our mission is to help clients navigate these choices with clarity and confidence.
Here’s what’s happening this month:
🎆 AP Scores Roll Out Starting July 7
If AP credits could impact your college plans, be sure to check your My AP account on the College Board website and send your scores to your chosen schools promptly. Some colleges have strict deadlines for receiving official scores for credit or placement.
🎆 To Test or Not to Test?
We often hear students ask: “Should I take the SAT or ACT?”One of the best ways to decide is by taking a full-length, proctored practice test, offered virtually through our partner ArborBridge. There’s no obligation—just good data to help guide your decision-making.
🎆 Summer = Planning Time
Whether it’s building your college list, starting application essays, exploring majors, or reconsidering career paths, July is a great time to pause, reflect, and plan.
🎆 Common App = Closing End of July to Prepare for next season!
Application Closing Dates for the 2024-2025 Cycle:
First-Year Application: Closes to applicants and recommenders at 5 PM ET on July 28, 2025
Transfer Application: Closes at 5 PM ET on July 29, 2025
Remember: With choice comes power—and we’re here to help you use that power wisely.
