With today marking the last day of 2022, I hope each of you will reflect on your successes, accomplishments, and lessons learned throughout the year. In addition, take time today to prepare for tomorrow, next week and months to come!
The saying "every ending brings a new beginning" rings particularly true this time of year.
January 1st is a great day to start a new tradition, focus on a new hobby, begin a new book, exercise, eat right, drink more water, spend time with family, etc. The list goes on and on.
Should the new year be about building new habits?
That is for you to choose.
I stopped making New Year's resolutions a long time ago. Instead, I focus on a word to stimulate a healthy, calm mindset I wish to adopt daily. So, if my feathers get ruffled, or I get anxious or tired, I can think of my word. For years, I chose the same word, JOY, but my three boys required me to select a new one this year!
Whether you build a new habit, write resolutions, or choose a word, remember that January 1st is a new beginning. It is up to you to decide how to begin. So celebrate the past, reflect on the lessons and be grateful for a fresh start!
