Guaranteed Admissions

What do Arizona State, the University of Texas, and the University of Tennessee have in common?

Guaranteed Admissions

The Volunteer State just joined a group of other public institutions, including Arizona, Florida, and Texas, that offer guaranteed admissions to eligible students. Tennessee's initiative will go into effect for Fall 2024 admissions.

Tennesse states: "We want Tennessee high school students and their families to know how they can be guaranteed admission to the UT campus of their choice," UT System President Randy Boyd said. "Identifying these standards allows us to make earlier admissions offers for more Tennessee students, and it allows them to start planning for their college experience with more certainty." Locally in Georgia, valedictorians and salutatorians who attend a SACS-accredited Georgia high school student could get guaranteed admission into UGA and Tech.

Guaranteed admissions programs are a game-changer for many aspiring college students. They offer a path to higher education that is both accessible and less stressful, providing a sense of security in an otherwise uncertain process. As you embark on your college journey, remember that while guaranteed admissions can offer a safety net, they should not be the only factor guiding your choices.
