One of my favorite things about exploring colleges is discovering what makes each campus unique. Beyond academics, college traditions help students build community and create lifelong memories.

🎃 University of Virginia: Each Halloween season, UVA's famous Lawn becomes a trick-or-treating destination for local families. Imagine living in a historic university setting where your residence hall is part of a community Halloween celebration!

💦 University of Central Florida: During homecoming, students participate in Spirit Splash, an energetic tradition involving the campus Reflecting Pond. Not spooky, but definitely memorable!

📣 Texas A&M University: From enthusiastic Yell Leaders to the legendary 12th Man tradition, school spirit is a major part of the Aggie experience.

👻 William & Mary: With more than 300 years of history, this historic campus has plenty of legends, ghost stories, and mysterious traditions. It's a particularly interesting place for anyone who loves history and a little mystery!

These traditions remind us that selecting a college isn't just about the classroom. It's also about the community, experiences, and memories you'll create. Choosing a college, exploring a major, or deciding on a career can sometimes feel like walking into a haunted house. You aren't entirely sure what's around the corner! But that's also what makes exploration exciting.

You don't need to have every answer today. Instead, start by asking yourself what sparks your curiosity, what activities you genuinely enjoy, and what experiences make you feel energized.
