One Week From Today....

Class of 2024! October 15th lands on a Sunday this month! Please note that some of your colleges require students to have submitted all materials by this first Early Action Deadline.

What do you need to know?

  1. Please do not wait until the 15th to submit your application. The Common Application or any application portal could be problematic on the day of the application deadline. It is in the student's best interest to submit at least two days before the deadline.

  2. Be sure that transcript(s), official test scores (if applicable), recommendation letters (if required), counselor recommendation (if requested), and any other documents have been submitted before the 15th. As long as the student has noted in their application and it shows "REQUESTED" for counselor and teacher recommendations, then the student is fine to submit the application.

  3. Once you submit your application, you should receive an email from the college with a new portal specific to that school. Be sure to sign in and check if all materials are submitted.

  4. Sometimes after you apply, a college will ask for additional information via their specific portal. This is another crucial reason why students should not wait until the deadline.

  5. REMEMBER some schools require students to complete the SSAR - Student Self-Report Academic Record. This needs to be completed by the deadline as well. Check out SSAR here.
